Description:

The Data and Business Intelligence Developer will work with data from various sources and the people that manage those sources to build data models that drive data analysis, data-based applications and visualizations, utilizing both Cloud based and traditional IT systems. Will Provide leadership in project development by working with various data owners and systems users to help define needs and characteristics for data strategies to support data driven work place solutions.

Accountability:

This position will report to SWOG Communications and Public Relations Manager

Responsibilities:

Support current and new projects identified by SWOG Chief of Administration and executive leadership for data analysis, visualization, recommendations and infrastructure development including development of dashboards and reports of key performance indicators (KPI) and other metrics. Work with project teams to identify specific project needs and plans.

Assist in leading change management processes for new or improved business processes related to information technology resources including Business Intelligence and other cloud based tools. Coordinate with various business and technical groups within SWOG whose support is needed to build or deploy data dashboards, and applications. Assist in identifying business improvement areas and help to develop and drive appropriate solutions and results.

Work with Cloud based tools (primarily Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools) and develop system prototypes (databases) and data presentations and visualizations. Assist in defining needs and strategies for development of information infrastructure. Take a leadership role in managing projects including assisting with project budgets and the identification of needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in appropriate field (computer science, information systems) with 3 to 5 years of experience. Experience with database development and analysis of information. Familiarity with and interest in Cloud based data tools, particularly Microsoft Power Platform. Strong knowledge of related tools such as MS Excel. Strong skills and insights in creating visualizations of data. Strong and effective communication and team work skills and also the ability to work independently with self-motivation while also reaching out when needed for direction and collaboration. Ability to interact effectively with people of various backgrounds and levels of experience.
