Full Job Description

Antioch Adoptions is a faith based non-profit foster to adopt ministry with the mission of placing infants and foster to adopt children into loving Christian adoptive homes. Antioch Adoptions also provides private adoption of children of unplanned pregnancies in support of birth mothers and fathers. The Regional Director (RD) reports to the Executive Director. The regional director oversees daily operations of the entire local agency team and program, supervises staff, and facilitates the provision of program development, training, and necessary departmental budgets. The RD also engages and builds the relationship between the agency and DCYF, other community groups, supporters (financial and logistical) of the agency, and most importantly the families we serve. This individual works closely with our program managers to assure a safe home placement for children which meet legal and agency standards, as well as assure timely and accurate communication between the families, DCYF and Antioch Adoptions.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervision:

  • Manage development of agency and regional operations through goals, progress tracking, performance and regular reviews of agency efficacy.
  • Recruit and hire necessary staff with approval from Executive Director, as well as train and hold team accountable to consistent performance standards. Address performance concerns and give support as needed to raise performance levels.
  • Report to Executive Director monthly activity of staff. Document and discuss team progress and review program goals. Ensure families are moving through the process effectively and children are being actively recruited for waiting families.
  • Build and develop relationship between Antioch Adoptions and DCYF, primarily through the program management team.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings, discuss progress, review goals, and staff complicated issues as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation based on state WAC requirements and agency procedures.
  • Available & capable to conduct regular state mandated audits of the agency by DCYF.

Qualifications of a Regional Director or Administrator: Agency leadership

A director or administrator must be available telephonically during business (and after) hours and meets the qualification to:

a. Manage the financial and administrative operations of the program

b. Comply with the licensing rules by providing for the health and safety of the children in the agency's care

c. Effectively communicate to the department the roles (or thru Executive Director), expectations, and purposes of the program

d. Assume responsibility for safety of children in our agency; and

e. Work with representatives of other agencies.

f. An regional director or administrator must have:

· Appropriate education relevant to the specific program; and

· Four years of successful experience with similar duties and responsibilities for the administrative oversight, program and fiscal management of an agency.

Job Responsibilities (per Executive Director discretion):

  • ü Responsible for regional strategic planning, ministry goals and visionary ideas
  • Responsible for ministry growth, expansion plan and satellite churches
  • Create relationships with churches, companies, foundations, grant funding providers, and more
  • Oversee all regional staff including hiring and firing
  • Available for regional board development, management, and Board/Employee partnerships
  • Create Fundraising events to cultivate new donors and sponsors
  • Marketing Antioch Adoptions both locally and nationally where required
  • Networking with other organizations to support Antioch Adoptions’ goals
  • Develop community awareness and support
  • Create, implement and adhere to budget with annual Board approval
  • Communicate with Antioch Bible Church through Adoption ministry pastor
  • Follow all Antioch Adoptions Policies and Procedures as outlined
  • Meet with regional Antioch Adoptions Board of Directors to review goals and progress

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum Degree Level: B.A. in related field (or M.B.A. added bonus), and 3-5 years of management experience and foster care adoption related experience. Ability to effectively manage a team and meet organization performance requirements. Must be able to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines while addressing day to day interruptions. Effective communicator with employees, families, and partners in the community. Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all employees of Antioch Adoptions.
  • Personal and actively growing knowledge of Jesus Christ
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office software (MSWord, MSExcel, and MSOutlook)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree Level: B.A. in Business Administration, or Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or other related field. A B.S. or B.A in related field and extensive (10 or more years) work experience may be substituted for required level education.
  • 3-5 years of experience in management as well as adoption social work, family services or related field
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office software (MSWord, MSExcel, and MS Outlook)

  • Working with families in stress due to changes in their family make-up
  • Manage personal safe care while working with families and children in grief and conflict. Maintain a conservative, professional appearance and carry yourself in a way (inside and outside of work) that reflects well on the ministry’s core Christian values.

Supervision: of whom

Regional Management team and Staff responsible for the operation and clinical side of adoption work such as case managers, placement coordinators, family development coordinators, marketing, and others who will be working directly with fundraising & operations, families, social workers, and children in the adoption process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
