Job Description

Language Access Services Responsibilities:
Monitors and advances the staff interpreter pool
Manages quality of service data and serves as vendor liaison and vendor support for our Language Access Programs including sign language, over-the-phone interpreting, video remote interpreting, face-to-face interpreting and document translations.
Assists with and helps oversee the Qualified Bilingual Interpreter program such as recruitment, policy, training and courses, records, data management, awards and incentives, ongoing professional development etc.
Assists with and helps oversee the document translation processes for the system
Enhances Language Access policy and guidelines
Communicates with THR language access network in helping to provide trending from our language data collection, resolve concerns related to language access, alerting them of new processes, etc.

Language Education Responsibilities
Educates front-line staff through language access rounding on working with an interpreter and using interpreter services effectively
Creates training guides and materials as needed for different language access services tools
Enhances and provides courses as needed including Spanish as a Second Language Learning for Clinicians through Command Spanish and interpreter professional development courses

Data Management Responsibilities
Maintains and provides accurate data for all language access and language education programs to use for trending, planning, etc
Designs effective tools and instruments for accurate and timely data collection
Analyzes data to determine effectiveness and integrates the findings from quantitative and qualitative data into program operations and improvement processes
Documents and reports finding (outcome, impact)
Works with department leadership to evaluate and maintain budget for language access services

Human Resources
Responsible for staffing based on business need, scheduling language interpreters to cover all shifts across the system and being the contact for staff call-ins
Responsible for personnel functions including conducting staff meetings and human resource management to include interviewing language interpreters, evaluations, coaching, mentoring, professional growth, rewards and accomplishments, recruitment, retention and education
Facilitates new staff orientation
Supports diversity and inclusion in the organization

Education
Bachelor's Degree Spanish, Linguistics, Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or relevant field Required
And
Master's Degree Preferred

Experience
5 Years Prior leadership experience in healthcare or relevant setting; experience with program design, implementation, coordinating community health programs, completing activity/outcome reports, volunteer engagement, and/or partnering with community organizations Required
Bi-Lingual would be a Plus
Supervisory experience is a Plus

Skills
Excellent MS Office package skills that include Excel, ability to manipulate and analyze data, conduct trend analysis, manage multiple projects, works well independently or with a team and possess strong problem solving skills related to healthcare finance or business issues.
Multilingual skills preferred. Strong team leader and masterful presenter, ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of professional ranging from frontline staff to C level executives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.18 - $52.04 per hour
