Job Description

 

The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is seeking a resourceful, highly organized, and entrepreneurial rising professional to serve as Program Assistant for Business Development. The Program Assistant would work closely with the Senior Program Officer for Business Development, senior leadership and all of CEPA’s programs to support the organization’s robust portfolio of donors including government, corporate, and foundations.

 

 
As a part of a dynamic and growing team at one of the most diverse foreign policy think tanks in Washington, DC, this individual would have a unique role in helping shape, manage, and drive forward CEPA’s grants portfolio and contributing to the organization’s overall mission.
Responsibilities:
Support the Senior Program Officer and Executive Office with fundraising efforts.
Conduct research to identify the goals, net worth, charitable donation history, or other data related to potential donors or investors.
Maintain timely and accurate prospect and donor records in Salesforce including key points of contact, documentation, meeting notes, and revenue to ensure quality reporting and transparency throughout.
Support constituent relationship management, international donor community development, and stewardship of high-level stakeholders.
Prepare invoices, track payment receipts, and create timely, accurate, and personalized acknowledgements of gifts, grants, and donations.
Support business development events by, among other things, drafting invitations, preparing guest lists, and facilitating event follow-up.
Track fundraising against targets and set up real time progress reports in Salesforce for planning and presentation purposes.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical conduct with the handling of all business and donor data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
2-4 years of professional work experience in an area related to office administration, development, project management, or event coordination; prior nonprofit experience a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required; Salesforce experience highly desired.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work with senior level executives, both internal and external, as well as with multi-cultural, cross-sectoral partners.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, including high level of attention to detail and follow-up.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment, follow diplomatic protocol, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Willingness to respond to an evolving set of priorities.
