Accounting Associate needed to grow with us and work with our seasoned accounting team. CMCA is a multi-million dollar non-profit organization whose purpose is to help families and children and create opportunities to improve our local community. The Accounting Associate verifies financial data and maintains accurate records, supports monetary transactions, and resolves accounting issues. Provides support to the Accounting Department and the Deputy Director. Duties involve detailed recording of financial data, maintaining financial files, review of records, and bank reconciliation.

Requires some college or post-secondary training. Prefer Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Bussiness, or a related field. Advanced knowledge of Excel and fiscal-related work experience rquired, non-profit experience preferred. $18/hour + great benefits including excellent health insurance, generous paid time off, and opportunities for advancement. Summary of Duties:

• Reconcile bank statements.
• Update vendor records as needed.
• Assist with verifying W-9s and processing annual 1099's.
• Research and address inquiries regarding account status, proper coding of transactions, and other related items to determine the requirements of journal requests and any other corrections.
• Maintain records for supporting documentation.
• Assist in maintaining purchase order system.
• Assist in the preparation of records and materials for audits.
• Send work comp report of injury forms to third party vendor.
• Compare employee benefit deductions to insurance bills and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform clerical work and interoffice support including receiving and processing Accounting mail.
• Review cash receipts, disbursements, and records for projects which Staff Accountants have primary responsibility.
