K-8 STEAM & ELA Elementary School Camps in Philadelphia Counties

YMWIC is hosting the 11th Annual Summer Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math and ELA camp for students rising to the 1st- 8th grades as of September, 2023. All curriculum and kits are defined and purchased in advance. YMWIC is looking to fully staff our virtual program to support junior Scholars in the counties of Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia.

Important Requirements: Candidates will have the following:

• Highly proficient using online tools while proficient using Microsoft products such as Microsoft word, outlook, PowerPoint and excel.
• Support up to 20 junior scholars in a class setting per Covid-19 guidelines.
• Provide interactive and hands on workshop experiences using the YMWIC curriculum.
• Assign and administer projects to junior Scholars while monitoring progress.
• Supervise junior counselors who are in place to assist lesson plans and activities.
• Administer a pre and post math and language arts assessments with report.
• Provide weekly activity reports to illustrate scholar progress and performance meets YMWIC requirements.
• Participate in mandatory kick off meetings and staff meetings.
• Chaperone during weekly day trips to the Franklin Institute, zoo and other sites.

Essential Requirements:

• Recent or pending State Certification in elementary or secondary education.
• BS degree in elementary or secondary education from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in a classroom setting using lesson plans and remediation tools and techniques.
• Proof of child abuse, FBI and applicable background checks are recent.
• Able to arrive daily by 07:45am for lesson setup.
• Able to work daily through 4:30 pm for wrap up and clean up.
• Available for training prior to the start of the camp.

Personnel:

• Bi-Weekly Pay based on a full week from 07:45 am – 4:30 pm
• Pay day is biweekly
• $800/week
• Off on July 4th

Pay: $800.00 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
