Reports to: Director, Support Services for Loss Survivors
Location: Remote or Hybrid
Position: Summary
The Manager of Support Services for Loss Survivors manages the implementation, administration, expansion and assessment of AFSP’s Loss Survivor Programs, specifically, Healing Conversations (HC), Suicide Bereavement Support Group and Clinician Facilitator Trainings, and Online Suicide Loss Support Group Directory and Trained Clinician Database. Provides support and training for chapter staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage implementation, administration, expansion and assessment of specific postvention programs and resources
- Work with the Director of Support Services for Loss Survivors and the SVP of Program Operations to establish operational objectives, develop/update work plans, and institute/refine protocols for successful implementations of postvention programs through AFSP chapters and chapter partners
- Manage and provide ongoing support, resources and training for chapter staff, volunteers and AFSP constituents in implementing postventions programs and initiatives
- Manage AFSP efforts to regularly update and evaluate postvention programs for AFSP constituents and supports program updates and new program development
- Maintain communication with internal and external audiences to provide information about updates, support, program implementation procedures and analysis of AFSP postvention programs
- Work closely with internal and external audiences to assist in and inform the development of material, content, and resources for postvention programs and other resources for suicide loss survivors
- Market and promote AFSP postvention programs through external partners, at national conferences and with AFSP chapters
- Supports web‐based platforms and/or capacity to learn and new systems and serve as the data entry administrator
- Respond to high volume of inquiries from a diverse constituency including the public, and all levels of staff and volunteers in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage the collection and distribution of requests which includes coordinating volunteers
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Salary and Benefits:
Annual salary range: 66,000-70,000K
22 PTO (vacation, sick, wellness and personal days) your first year of employment (5 additional days 2nd year)
