What you’ll do:

The Human Resources Coordinator will oversee the human resources department and assist with the full range of HR responsibilities including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, training, policy documentation, staff development, managing personnel grievances, retention, morale, and organizational culture. The position will also work closely with leadership to ensure consistency in personnel management and to nurture a culture deeply committed to diversity and inclusion.

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with the agency’s initiatives.
  • Work closely with management and employees to ensure cohesive working relationships, employee morale, staff retention, and to preserve a culture of accountability, inclusion, and respect.
  • Provide guidance to managers, assist with accountability for performance standards including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead and manage comprehensive and accurate use of HR systems and facilitating staff training.
  • Assess training needs, create learning and development programs, and monitor training programs.
  • Oversee and manage completion of performance reviews.
  • Investigate employee issues, conflicts, and attend disciplinary and termination meetings.
  • Administer benefits, compensation, and workers’ compensation.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
  • Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures and communicate changes to staff.
  • Ensure corresponding updates to the personnel manuall.
  • Oversee all HR initiatives.
  • Manage the hiring process to ensure consistency across departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director

 

What you’ll need:

  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience. Preferred: Advanced Human Resources related degree, or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
  • Seven years of experience in employee relations, compensation, recruitment, selection and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge about HRIS systems (Paycom or similar)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

  • Eugene, OR 97401: Relocate before starting work (Required)
