Position Summary:

PHASE-Industries, a non-profit, is searching for a Director of Human Resources. We partner with individuals to build meaningful community connections and help each individual discover, design, and attain their personal life and employment goals at our locations in Sandstone, Mora, Pine City & Cambridge.

This is an ‘Everything HR’ kind of position – it plays a vital role in the day-to-day oversight of the PHASE-Industries Human Resources Department and all its functions. Policy design & implementation, benefits, hiring, performance management, training, talent management, compliance, diversity/equity/inclusion strategy and more.

Essential Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years progressive HR management responsibilities
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law
  • Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft
  • Strong management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Is subject to flexible hours including split shifts or varied hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and overnights depending on coverage needs.
  • Regularly travels in the community.
  • Works in a variety of settings inside or outside the office/consumer home and throughout the community.
  • Sits, stands, walks, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent problem-solving activities.
  • Has regular contact with consumers, staff, family members and the general public.
  • May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset consumers, staff, family members and the general public; may be subject to physically aggressive consumers.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases, odors, dust, etc., throughout the day.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, or equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of -5-7 year(s) progressive experience in a Human Resource position.

  • Exceptional verbal and writing ability.
  • Pass the required criminal background check.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records Check.
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the work day.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Possess good health and demonstrate emotional stability.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Willingness to take initiative and adapt to circumstances.
  • Ability to achieve cost-effective practices and demonstrate responsible fiscal control over related budget items.
  • Excellent technical skills. Experience with Learning Management Systems.

Supervision of Others:

Direct supervision of any HR department staff.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
