Position Summary Information

 

Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to bring additional revenue and strategic partnerships to the College by marketing and selling customized training solutions to corporate and industrial customers, and consulting with business organizations regarding their training requirements, goals, and long-term talent and development plans.

This is accomplished by coordinating the bid process for proposals and presentations; including leveraging Skills Development Funds (Grants) or other Grant sources, as an alternate funding source; performing administrative applications; providing consulting and consultative sales; providing administrative and customer service support; relationship-building and presenting information to the public.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or Associate’s degree + five (5) years industry experience.

Three (3) to five (5) years experience in Human Resources, corporate training, education, business, business sales, account management, program development, industry partnerships or industrial trades.

Demonstrated knowledge in Human Resources, sales, marketing, training, education, project management, industry partnerships or program development.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.

Proficient in MS Office, Sharepoint, Planner, Teams and various virtual platforms.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work with the Marketing Team to create marketing campaigns and strategies; conduct public speaking activities to build brand awareness or to identify new business.

Ability to manage multiple client projects, leverage technology and collaborative tools and utilize resources effectively and efficiently.

Strong planning and project management skills.

Job Duties

 

Job Duty
Coordinate the bid process for proposals and presentations for customized training solutions including contracts awarded with Skills Development Funds or other Grant sources.

Prepare and present all proposals and presentation materials for customers and prospective customers.

Prepare and administer Training Agreements; prepare and follow-up on internal routings and cost summaries.

Build relationships with customers and partners.

Provide consultative solutions; Complete needs assessment with each customer or potential customer.

Follow-up on all presentations to identify or secure new training opportunities.

Intentional focus on diversifying customer portfolio to identify new training opportunities.

Match College training services and funding sources to customer need.

Proactively communicate to the customer on training participant evaluations to determine customer satisfaction.

Capitalize all resources (internal and external) to deliver training and ensure an excellent customer experience.
Job Duty
Perform administrative functions; collaborate closely with Coordinator on Microsoft Planner.

Determine classroom availability and location with client and instructor.

Research, locate, and credential training instructors; actively network to recruit Instructors to enhance customer experience.

Ensure all instructor syllabi meets state and/or accreditation requirements, ensure class enrollment forms and grade sheets are completed.

Follow-up instructor payroll completion process.

Complete monthly activity reports and forecasting reports.

Complete travel expense reimbursement reports.

Complete all customer communications and internal reports.

Monitor budget for travel expenditures; be intentional on attending value-add conferences or local community events.

Collaborate with Marketing resources to create Marketing campaigns and strategies to identify new business.

Leverage technology and collaborative tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency and utilize various virtual platforms in the delivery of training.
Job Duty
Research viable prospective customers.

Capitalize on existing customer relationships to capture new business referrals or follow-up on new leads.

Attend community business events and community organization events (live or virtual).

Deliver public speaking presentations on behalf of the College and Department.

Participate in College and College partner student recruitment events; proactive planning for pre, during, and post event.

Work closely with the Chamber of Commerce, EDCs, TWC, Workforce Solutions and various Industry partners to build Brand awareness and mindshare.
Job Duty
Strong communications, planning and project management skills; attention to detail.

Complete and file all client information and presentations in SharePoint Corporate Services site.

Manage all assigned customer information in CRM tool or College database.

Respond to all internal or external communications.

Participate in Del Mar Inter-departmental strategic committees.

Complete all employee required training and professional development training.
