Position Summary 
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, the Director 
of Project Management and Operations serves as a linchpin in fostering 
collaboration among cross-functional teams within the division. By actively 
engaging with creative, storytelling, channel engagement, and strategy teams, 
the Director will ensure seamless alignment and integration of efforts.  
 
Furthermore, the Director will be tasked with the strategic management and 
optimization of project management tools and technologies, leveraging the latest 
tools and innovations to support streamlined workflows and enhance communication and collaborative efforts across the division. 
 
Essential Functions 
∙ Spearheads the development, evolution and implementation of project 
  management processes, methodologies, and frameworks that support 
  divisional objectives. 
∙ Oversees the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring projects are initiated, 
  planned, executed, monitored, and closed efficiently and effectively. 
∙ Serves as a player-coach, managing the division’s most intricate and high-
  impact projects, balancing hands-on project management with leadership 
  responsibilities to set a standard of excellence within the division. 
∙ Implements and manages project tracking and reporting mechanisms to 
  provide timely updates on project progress, ensuring alignment with 
  timelines, scope, and budget. 
∙ Selects, manages and optimizes project management tools and 
  technologies to support streamlined workflows, enhance communication, 
  and facilitate collaboration across the division. 
∙ Cultivates a collaborative culture that encourages interdisciplinary 
  communication and cooperation, enhancing overall project outcomes and 
  team synergy. 
∙ Actively engages with cross-functional teams ensuring seamless 
  alignment and integration of efforts. 
∙ Stewards the development, planning, and execution of the division’s 
  budget throughout the year in collaboration with senior leadership. 
∙ Ensures budgetary priorities align with divisional strategic goals, 
  optimizing the allocation of financial resources to support key initiatives. 
∙ Exercises meticulous oversight of expenditures, providing monthly 
  financial updates to leadership, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Management Responsibilities 
Supervises the work of other Fordham employees who are individual 
contributors. Responsible for hiring, training and developing, managing 
performance and administering corrective action. Has significant input in 
compensation decisions. 
 
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience 
∙ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 
∙ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
 
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills 
∙ Proven leadership experience in establishing and leading project 
  management functions within a marketing or creative environment.
∙ Expert understanding of modern and agile project management 
  methodologies, tools, and best practices. 
∙ Strong analytical skills to evaluate and implement effective project 
  management tools and technologies. 
∙ Strategic thinker with the ability to align project outcomes with 
  organizational goals. 
∙ Comfort in navigating financial conversations including budget planning 
  and management. 
∙ Detail-oriented and organized, with a proven track record of successfully 
  managing complex projects on time and within budget. 
∙ Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing 
  environment. 
∙ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
∙ Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to 
  the goals of Jesuit Education. 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
∙ Master’s degree in a relevant field. 
∙ Experience selecting and instituting project management tools. 
 
Minimum Starting Salary: $100,000 
 
Maximum Starting Salary: $115,000 
 
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
