Individual Giving Coordinator

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Manage relationships with a portfolio of donors at the $500 – $1,199 range
  • Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals while working collaboratively with other members of the Philanthropy team
  • Cultivate relationships primarily through regular phone, email, and letter contact, as well as acting as the primary contact for customer service and donation questions for the portfolio
  • Identify major donor and planned giving prospects and work with other team members to move donors through the donor lifecycle
  • Assist the Membership Campaign Project Manager in planning and executing quarterly fundraising campaigns
  • Work with Membership Director and Director of Major Giving on regular donor communications and promotional material
  • Manage and analyze data from mid-level donors to create programmatic strategies for donor retention, additional gifts, and upgrades
  • Model membership prospects (donors giving < $500) to cultivate and upgrade donors to the mid-level program
  • Serve as a well-informed representative and advocate for Cascade Public Media
  • Attend development team meetings and development department meetings
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the CPM

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong written communications skills, with experience in writing direct mail and email fundraising communications
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to analyze revenue and donor data and suggest strategies
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to organize and execute mailings of varying size or quantity

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least a years’ experience working in a fundraising environment for non-profit organizations, with an understanding of fundraising strategies, processes, and best practices
  • Demonstrated successful experience and effectiveness in prospect identification, relationship building, and annual solicitation
  • Experience with CRM data entry and reporting (Salesforce preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels to designated mailing areas
